Meg Streeter Real Estate opened in January, 2007 to offer personalized professional real estate services to both buyers and sellers in the Mount Snow area. Our goal is to provide as much information as we can to help participants in the real estate process enjoy a successful outcome. We love our beautiful part of the Green Mountains and want to share our experiences and knowledge.
Meg Streeter
I’ve been a full time Realtor since 1984 when I began my real estate career following several years as a social worker with runaway youth in Washington, DC and as a recruitment specialist with the federal government in Baltimore and Boston. Previously I graduated from Bates College and volunteered for a federal anti-poverty program while still a college student.
Coming from a long line of Vermonters, I was drawn back home when ready to raise a family. My husband and I are proud that our children are the 5th generation of my family to graduate from the Wilmington school system.
One of the best aspects of being a Realtor is the many varied people that I’ve had the pleasure of assisting over the years – real estate is never boring nor are the people involved! I love introducing people to our area and helping them discover that what they want is right here!
Professional profile
I’ve spent weeks in professional Realtor classes and have obtained my Certified Residential Specialist designation, a title held by a small percentage of Realtors. Both sellers and buyers can rest assured that I devote the necessary time and attention to all the factors important in the real estate transaction.
I have been active in our county’s Board of Realtors, serving in numerous capacities including President of the Board. Currently I am the chair person of the Professional Standards Committee which deals with ethics issues among Realtors. The Realtor Code of Ethics presents a standard of conduct for all Realtors to abide by and we take it seriously.
Volunteer work
I’ve served on numerous town committees in the past as well as the local School Board. Currently I am a member of the select board of Wilmington, a trustee for our excellent small library, and a volunteer coach for the Girls on the Run program. In my free time I enjoy extensive walking no matter what the weather, gardening and endlessly moving firewood from one place to another at our cottage/renovation project! Life in Vermont is often chilly but never dull! |
